Andrés Jaque and his architect's studio, the Office of Political Innovation, explore the role of the architect in the construction of societies. They are authors of slogans such as ‘Architecture is society represented’, and currently they are focused on the study of domestic assembly plants as political urban planning.

They are the creators of noted buildings such as the ‘Casa Sacerdotal Diocesana de Plasencia’ – Dionisio Hernández Gil Award and runner up in the VIII Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo–, ‘House in Never Never Land’ – runner up in the Premios FAD and in the Mies van der Rohe European Award –, ‘Tupper Home’ –runner up in the Mies van der Rohe European Award and in the X Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo–, or ‘Escaravox’ – COAM 2013 Award and runner up in the Premios FAD– among others. In 2012, the MoMA Museum of Modern Art in New York acquired his work 'IKEA Disobedients' as the first architectural situation incorporated and exhibited in their collection.

In 2012 they presented their work ‘PHANTOM. Mies as Rendered Society’ in the Pabellón Barcelona de Mies van der Rohe. In 2011 they finished the construction of the ‘Sweet Parliament Home’ project in the city of Gwangju (South Corea) and in 2010 they exhibited ‘Fray Home Home’, in the central space of the Palacio de la Exposición of the Bienal de Venecia 2010. He has developed projects for the contemporary art fair ARCOMadrid 2014 and for MAK Austrian Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art in Viena, among others. In June of 2014 he received the León de Plata de la Bienal de Arquitectura de Venecia, for the best investigational project for SALES ODDITY. Milano 2 and the Politics of Direct-to-Home TV Urbanism; an analysis on contempoary urbanism. They are authors of the publications Different Kinds of Water Pouring into a Swimming Pool, Dulces Arenas Cotidianas, and Eco-Ordinary (Etiquette for the everyday practice of architecture and politics). Their office work has been published in the most important speciality magazines and general media, including: 2G, A+U, A10, ABC, Abitare, Architecture Digest, Architecture d'aujourd'hui, Architecture Review, Architecture Now, among others.
